FAQ

D128 questions, answered.

Delivery, disks, bandwidth and payment for the AMD EPYC 9755.

How support works
Why a single 128-core CPU rather than two sockets?

One EPYC 9755 keeps all 128 cores and the 512 MB of L3 cache on a single socket: no cross-socket memory latency, simpler NUMA tuning, and a lower price than a dual-socket server with the same core count.

How does it compare with Cherry Servers’ 128-core EPYC?

Cherry Servers’ EPYC 9754 server has 128 Zen 4c cores at 3.1 GHz, 768 GB of DDR5 ECC, 2 × 4 TB NVMe and 100 TB of traffic for $1,230/mo (price checked on 13 Oct 2026). The D128 costs $1,149/mo with full Zen 5 cores, 384 GB more RAM and 3.8 times the NVMe.

How fast is the D128 delivered?

In under 5 minutes once it’s paid. Top up your balance in crypto — it’s credited automatically after network confirmation — then deploy: the server is installed with the operating system, disk layout, hostname and SSH key you chose, and your root and IPMI access appear in your client area. If a server isn’t delivered within 24 hours, you get a full refund.

Which disk layouts can I choose?

Software RAID is set up during installation: RAID 10 (15.36 TB), RAID 5 (23.04 TB), RAID 0 (30.72 TB), No RAID (30.72 TB). Pick “No RAID” to partition the drives yourself, or install any OS from your own ISO through IPMI.

Is the 25 Gbps port really unmetered?

Yes. There is no monthly transfer quota and no overage bill — the port is yours to use. The only limits are those of our Acceptable Use Policy: no attacks, spam or illegal content.

Can I pay with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies?

Yes: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, USDT on TRON (TRC-20) and Solana. You top up your balance in USD with the rate locked while you pay, every top-up from $100 earns +5% per $100 up to +50%, and the D128 is paid from your balance each month.
