FAQ

D256 questions, answered.

Delivery, disks, bandwidth and payment for the Dual AMD EPYC 9755.

How support works
How much usable storage does the D256 have?

Eight 7.68 TB NVMe drives: 30.72 TB in RAID 10 (our default, fast and redundant), 46.08 TB in RAID 6 (survives two drive failures), or the full 61.44 TB in RAID 0 or as independent drives.

How does it compare with DataPacket’s 256-core server?

DataPacket’s 2 × EPYC 9754 server has 256 Zen 4c cores, 384 GB of RAM and 4 × 3.84 TB NVMe for $3,020/mo, plus $170/mo for 1 Gbps of bandwidth (checked on 13 Oct 2026). The D256 costs $2,999/mo with six times the RAM, four times the NVMe, full Zen 5 cores and 2 × 25 Gbps unmetered.

How fast is the D256 delivered?

In under 5 minutes once it’s paid. Top up your balance in crypto — it’s credited automatically after network confirmation — then deploy: the server is installed with the operating system, disk layout, hostname and SSH key you chose, and your root and IPMI access appear in your client area. If a server isn’t delivered within 24 hours, you get a full refund.

Which disk layouts can I choose?

Software RAID is set up during installation: RAID 10 (30.72 TB), RAID 6 (46.08 TB), RAID 0 (61.44 TB), No RAID (61.44 TB). Pick “No RAID” to partition the drives yourself, or install any OS from your own ISO through IPMI.

Is the 2 × 25 Gbps port really unmetered?

Yes. There is no monthly transfer quota and no overage bill — the port is yours to use. The only limits are those of our Acceptable Use Policy: no attacks, spam or illegal content.

Can I pay with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies?

Yes: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, USDT on TRON (TRC-20) and Solana. You top up your balance in USD with the rate locked while you pay, every top-up from $100 earns +5% per $100 up to +50%, and the D256 is paid from your balance each month.
